A travelling day

This morning we left Qualicum Beach to head across the island to Ucluelet Our stay at Eagle Landing was just fantastic..... Anne and Jim are the most incredibly welcoming people, and we were treated like royalty. And then there were the breakfasts.....this morning the best Eggs Benedict I've EVER had, and I've had a few as it's my absolute favourite.

Lucy, who is in charge of operations at Eagle Landing.

We stopped off to wander amongst 800 year old trees at Cathedral Grove.

Then stopped for a picnic lunch at Sproat Lake (which is far more beautiful than its name.)

The road across the island is very long, very narrow and has many sharp bends and tight corners. Jon ' Lewis Hamilton' Cox really enjoyed the drive. I did not. Eventually though, we arrived in Ucluelet and found our home for the next 4 nights, Ocean Dreams B&B.

The view from our verandah
Another beautiful place, and we relax even more. Heaven.

  1. Wow. What a relaxing place; such a fantastic view. Enjoy. Certainly makes a change from the back garden. let's hope that Turkey on Monday will offer us something relaxing too. x

  2. Congratulations on your podium finish Jon James Hunt Cox. Were you pondering on the verandah whether to do that standy uppy canoeing thing that those two posers down in the bay are demonstrating?
